Glyph 101: The Rest Is History

THE HISTORY OF THE GLYPH SAGA

From the Big Melt to the Rise of 2098 SF

Humanity’s future began with a mistake.

In 2072 AD, a coalition of ambitious scientists conducted secret experiments in Antarctica — tests involving “toxic and explosive materials” that they believed were harmless due to the continent’s isolation. But in 2102 AD, a catastrophic accident unleashed a radioactive explosion that melted vast glaciers and drowned the world in a disaster remembered as The Big Melt.

“The volatile explosion melted many of the glaciers on contact, pummeling the world with a horrible flood…”

Civilizations fell. Borders vanished. Entire cultures were swallowed by the sea.

For years, Earth staggered under violent weather, famine, and global unrest. Humanity was on the brink of collapse — until four alien races arrived from a nearby constellation. They called themselves the Hospites Nostri, “Our Visitors,” and offered a trade:

Earth’s excess water in exchange for restoration.

Their intervention marked the beginning of a new era: SF — Secundum Frequento, “according to the visitors.”

THE FOUR REGIONS & THE BIRTH OF THE GLYPH SYSTEM

In 1 SF, the Hospites Nostri reorganized the shattered planet into four Regions:

Panga

Maurasia

Guandaland

Zilfrinia

They unified languages, currencies, and cultural systems, and humanity created the first Glyphs — stacked symbols inspired by alien writing, used to communicate concepts the visitors struggled to understand.

“Humanity created a Glyph System of icons and symbols… to help them understand the importance of the many foreign concepts of Earth.”

But the aliens’ “restoration” had consequences.

Their radiation‑cleansing efforts triggered a mutation known as Radianism, giving rise to the Homo radians, a new branch of humanity with pastel‑tinted features, a second language (Thulangve), and unpredictable supernatural abilities.

THE QUARTERS LIFE CIPHER & A THOUSAND YEARS OF ORDER

In 98 SF, a powerful Pangan woman named Omnia Vinciti‑Amoria led a global movement demanding autonomy from alien influence. Her efforts birthed the Quarters Life Cipher (QLC) — a structured, eight‑sector government that brought stability for nearly a millennium.

The QLC eventually evolved into two Houses:

Merid House

Rizon House

For centuries, the world healed. Cities were rebuilt. Cultures blended. Peace felt possible.

Until it wasn’t.

THE METEOR INCIDENT & THE FALL OF ZILFRINIA

In 1730 SF, a massive meteor threatened Earth. Panga and Maurasia saved the planet without alien help — an act that enraged the Hospites Nostri. Their resentment deepened the fractures between Regions, and soon Maurasia and Guandaland destroyed Zilfrinia, dividing its land.

The balance shattered.

THE RISE OF THE NEO QUARTERS LIFE CIPHER

In 1750 SF, the scientist Doctor Signor Vincesti exploited global fear with the Ecliptic Earth Theory, claiming the planet faced imminent natural destruction. His faction overthrew the QLC and formed the Neo Quarters Life Cipher (NQLC) — a regime obsessed with power, purity, and scientific supremacy.

They renamed Panga to Panga Uno Animo (“One Mind Unanimously”) and, with alien assistance, sealed it behind a massive force field.

“The aliens helped Panga Uno Animo eliminate nature from their entire Region, creating the perfect scientific society.”

Nature was outlawed.

Life Form Warfare was revived.

Oppression spread across the globe.

REBELLION, EXILE, AND THE END OF THE VISITORS

A brilliant scientist, Doctor Theo Hermetic, secretly worked against the NQLC for decades. When discovered, he was exiled to Guandaland — spared only because Vincesti “loved him as a son.”

“Vincesti banished Hermetic to Guandaland and demolished his writings, laboratory, research, and life.”

Hermetic continued resisting until his assassination in 1799 SF.

Soon after, a deadly virus wiped out two alien races. Fearing contamination, Earth banned the Hospites Nostri in 1802 SF, and by 1875 SF, all space travel ceased. The aliens faded into myth.

The NQLC ruled unchallenged for nearly 300 years.

THE DAWN OF 2098 SF — AND THE BEGINNING OF THE GLYPH SAGA

By 2098 SF, the world was exhausted. Knowledge was suppressed. Regions were at war. Panga Uno Animo’s influence was absolute.

But from within the NQLC’s own lineage, a new generation rose — unlikely heroes who would ignite the events of Glyph One: A Great Escape.

The future was ready to change.
