the Aliens

Sitting near Earth’s moon for over two centuries in four horribly cloaked observation orbs are the various races of aliens, also known as the Hospites Nostri. Initially, they were on a peaceful mission to study Earth’s water, which has alcoholic effects on them. They also showed an interest in Earth’s religious/spiritual systems, as most have not heard of such. However, due to the atmospheric litter left behind by satellites and space missions over the years, Earth has become a filthy ghetto to the intergalactic community, and their mission has changed.

The aliens have tried to contact God or at least the Devil, but they have not had any response from either party. They are also looking to contact the people of Earth, but they realize they must do so with caution. Earth is considered an infantile and xenophobic society, especially considering Earthers cannot even get along amongst themselves. Most of the intergalactic community relies on a technique called Cultural Liaisons for cross-species understanding and sympathy. A being or concept from the host’s culture represents an aspect for the guest, creating a ground of familiarity. However, Earth does not even have all the components for such contact.

Attempting to be more widely accepted on Earth, the aliens often mimic major pop culture influences to enhance their outward appearance. They consider these to be their Cultural Liaisons. They also require a Physical Liaison (which, luckily for these alien groups, their physical makeup is close to many of Earth’s animals). For Mental Liaisons, the Hospites Nostri desire Artificial Intelligence capable of purely independent thought, as their minds are like computers. Naturally, Earth is not ready to meet such demands, an obstacle to joining the Intergalactic Community. The aliens enjoy using humans as their Emotional Liaisons. They have much fun assimilating with willing humans and studying their wildly swinging sentiments.
